The first rule of acquisition is......

Today the guys brought in their acquisition board games. I think bringing the 2 board
games to the welcome party certainly helped with idea generation. None the less, the range and effort put in was excellent, with 3 games out of 9 now into the final redesign for next week.

I really like '8 legged monsters', it had different setups for different numbers of players.
There was a very colour tangible feel to it along with the fact that it
was a relatively fast game to play

Gang Up has the makings of a great, gang wars, style territory
game. I think the theme of gang turf is an interesting one and while
the casual game mafia is very good, i dont know of too many board games
that are like it. This game needed some random elements like thrown in.
Its also quite a long board

This was a nice an simple yet equally strategic multiplayer version of
GO. each play needed to choose a color and fill their quuadrant with
that colour. The interesting aspect to this game was the potential to
play as the opposite colour in order to fill up the board. I wonder what
this game would belike with 4 colours, each with strengths and weaknesses
along with standard rules for each

The Apartment. Huge scope for this social relationship board game. What themese
rules conflicts can you come up with when sharing an apartment???? This was good.
Maybe the board a little slow and i wouldnt recommend hard coding the random numbers
onto the board but a very interesting one none the less

Medieval had a very broad scope and i think the guys didnt have enough time to play it through.
This is probably the game in this group to build upon for next week.

Excellent idea. A festival acquisition game. You pick a stage and try and make it the biggest.
Again lots of scope for different themes al a certain real time strategy them park games.
Need to think about what to do when there are only 3 players.

Dominion. This has great potential. Very well presented game. Need to really look
at the various aspects of space strategy, exportation, colonisation, conflict.
What game elements could be used to create each of these. You only need to think
of all the RTS style space games to come up with some solid ideas.

"Mark your territory", one game i didnt get to see much of. But again
the grid like system allows for many different ways of playing the game out.

Finaly 'bastardicus'.... i could see eoghans head was once again wrecked
with the implementation of ideas.... It'll come dude...

PREZI - Awesome online presentation tool.....
